I bought this for the hold. I usually use American Crew Fibre and I like that, but I find the hold lacks somewhat, especially in hot weather. Layrite Cement works extremely well and you get a lot for £14 and you only need the tiniest amount even on longer hair.

Pros:- It smells really nice.- Hair looks good when you first apply it for a few hours.- Tub lasts AGES. Talking 3-4 times longer than any other product I have used.- Washes out easilyCons:- Hair loses its shape into the second half of the day and ends up feeling/looking flat & greasy.Only one negative, but its a big one for me.Not as good as Label M Matte Paste or Kevin Murphy Night Rider which are available at a similar price-point.

This clay has quite a high hold and gives a good matte finish. Although, its not the easiest to apply into your hair. For the price you get a good amount which should last a while.
