I’m a bit of an amateur aromatherapist in my spare time, so I use a lot of different oils, of varying size and quality. I love lemon oil, mainly for using in my steam diffuser in the morning – nothing wakes me up quite as well as this, not even super strength coffee! This bottle is huge, and comes with a glass pipette. This makes it easier to make sure you have the correct amount of oil drops when mixing into carrier oil.
Because this is cold pressed lemon oil, this actually is phototoxic – this means that if you apply it directly to your skin (like in a body cream), you should avoid exposing the skin to UV light for 12 – 18 hours afterwards. Phototoxicity basically means that certain chemicals in certain oils react to sunlight – this can cause inflammation, blistering and reddening/burning of the skin. I would recommend you research how to use cold pressed lemon oil before using, just to ensure you are safe. I just wish the supplier had...

My husband is currently studying massage amongst a few other things and we thought that it would be a good idea to start building up his collection of essential oils.
We purchased this oil as well as the lavender, rosehip and lemongrass. What we initially liked about these oils is that they are 100% natural and none of them have been tested on animals.
We mixed these with carrier oils so that we could try them out and see just how they both felt and smelt once they had been mixed and applied to the skin.
The lemon oil is naturally citrus smelling and smells just like lemons and reminds me of lemon sweets. As well as being good for the skin, lemon oil is great as a household cleaner including being a great natural disinfectant. It is also a great mood lifter when diffused.
This mixed really well with a carrier oil and did not lose much of its fragrance.
