I put my own hair up into a bun first, doesn't matter if it's messy, then simply put this bun on top of my own and windd the drawstring round the bun. Just need to smooth it into shape, but it looks great. Although it's quite flat in the packaging, once it's on your own hair, it's no longer flat. Wore it to work and colleagues thought my hair looked great, didn't realise it wasn't real! Just be aware that natural black is not that dark, more of a dark brown.
