Does not meet my expectations, 14 May 2016

Although this is a beautifully made and presented kit, I would not put it anywhere my ingrowing toenail, which is causing me grief at the moment. I had expected the blades on the clippers to be flat and slimmer than they are, and there is no way I could use them - in addition to which they very closely resemble the clippers which I already have. I have therefore reluctantly requested and been granted a refund.

Not the best quality or easy to use., 30 Oct. 2016

The clippers are solidly made but fail to do the job effectively without some tweaking. The clippers supplied were somewhat blunt and required sharpening using a small stone file which I had in my toolkit. Also the larger of the two clippers is held closed when not being used by a hooked bar. You can see this in the sellers photographs. This bar is difficult to unhook an receipt when finished. This will possibly ease after a number of uses but still out the box it I'd difficult to use. The case is not leather as suggested by other users but serves the purpose as does the other tools in the kit.This is not, repeat not a professional kit but it is suited well as a travel item or occasional use at home.

This is a good quality and robust kit but my set had a problem (hence losing one star). As another reviewer has said, the clippers were not as sharp as I had expected.For me it wasn't too much of a task to sharpen them as I had the tools needed to do it. But anyone without the tools could have a problem. Once sharpened they are a really useful and well made kit.
