I wasn't sure what to expect with these foundation brushes, I own dozens and dozens of various cosmetic brushes as I'm a big make up fan and hoard the things. I've never seen any quite like this. I received this set free of charge after being contacted directly by the seller, I've one used them a few times and what follows is my thoughts after using the brushes.

The brushes are similar to a toothbrush shape and the head is dense with hairs, which also feel soft on the skin. I prefer using these brushes for applying concealer and foundation in those hard to reach places such as the nose and under eyes, the bristles seem to get in to the creases easily. I also like them to apply foundation on the eyelid as with a light pressure they are really soft but apply an even base.

I dab the foundation on to the back of my hand and pick up a bit of product with the brush, and I've also tried dabbing foundation into my face and then using brush to blend it out. Both methods...

These are definitely different... really unusually designed make up brushes, that at first glance, resemble toothbrushes in design.

However, they don't feel like toothbrushes - both brushes have packed heads of really, really soft luxurious bristles.

I wasn't sure at first, as I'm used to sweeping big kabuki style brushes across my features when I use a bit of blusher or powder.

These have won me over, I do like them. I won't say I absolutely love them as they are so different, but for more controlled application of powder blusher they have their place.

That's definitely what I will be using them for, precise and easy application of blusher.

I washed these brushes in the same way that I wash my larger brushes but used the brushegg instead of my hands. It's a useful little device, the soft rubber nodules make sure that the old powder and grime is removed efficiently. I enlisted the help of my daughter for this review.

The set comprises a pair of brushes distinguished from each other by their colour, but in other respects identical, plus a small silicone domed object called a ‘Brushegg’.

The brushes are 15 cm long with a head that is 3 cm in length approximately.

At first glance the brushes look like they have foam pads but on close inspection the head is actually made of thousands of incredibly thin and tightly packed bristles. The result is that they feel firm, but contour themselves perfectly to the shape of your face. This is great for the application of make-up foundation for example.

The purpose of the Brushegg is in cleaning the brushes. It has a ribbed surface specifically for this purpose, against which you rub the brush to help clean it. The...
