  • In order to get the best out of your hair colouring mask, you need to understand how this product works which depends on hair porosity. Porous hair is simply hair that is not a natural hair. Pores are created when you bleach your hair or when you colour the hair using a dye that is mixed with a developer (peroxide). The higher the lift level and the developer used (Vol 40) the more porous the hair.
  • Result on coloured hair will vary from light grey to dark grey depending on how porous the hair is. The more porous the hair, the more colour it absorbs but beware, if too much grey colour is absorbed, your hair will be too dark grey like charcoal.
  • For best results it is best to be safe, carry out a strand test and decide how to proceed, if too dark, your can dilute the hair colouring mask with a conditioner. If the colour is too light, you can reapply. don't hesitate to carry out a strand test.
  • If hair is natural (not been coloured or treated), the result will be like a slight grey hue or sheen that may not be noticeable. In this case you can mix the hair colouring mask with MAKKI OXY 20 VOL developer. Again do a strand test.
  • For highlights, we recommend bleaching the hair strands to be highlighted first then apply the hair colouring cream. Results are always awesome.

I diluted it with more than 3/4 'white' hair conditioner and left on for 45 mins as recommended. Any brand of white conditioner will do, 3 Nov. 2017
So far. Only 'toned' last night as going grey and have streaked hair to ease the grey transition. Growing out the grey 12 months ago (48 years old) and not as grey as I thought. This defo takes out any yellow tinges from the bleach. Watch the Youtube post from another person, I diluted it with more than 3/4 'white' hair conditioner and left on for 45 mins as recommended.Any brand of white conditioner will do, just white based to avoid colour changes. Saturates pre lifted hair only though (previous peroxide only treatments only). Day later, still kind of mid charcoal. You only need a bit to mix in but I really like. Not sure how it will wash out each day, probably a once a week treatment. A little it seems, will go a long way.

Good ??, 25 Sept. 2017
Not used the silver one yet but did use the grey. I applied the grey onto very light blonde hair and within 3 minutes it went quit dark. I washed it off and it was a little dark in places. But after three washes with head and shoulders it went to the perfect light grey colour I wanted. Next time I will mix it with a conditioner to lighten the grey a little. ??
