Small and mighty pair of clippers, with a great bite!, 30 April 2009

These were bought as a replacement to my old Tweezerman clippers, and to be honest I cannot see much of a difference between these, and ones costing three times as much. Incredibly sharp, they are crafted from a good chunk of steel, and have a nice design to them that makes it easier to grip while attempting to tidy up awkward edges.

The spring action is useful too, and helps with the whole balancing action, while the nice weight halps to guide unsteady hands. Definately a pair to buy if you are looking for a cheap and cheerful pair of clippers: Mine are so far a year old, and look almost as good as new.Despite their name, (cuticle clippers) I use mine as nail clippers as well, as I find that after a bath I can use these to shape the nails, then file and smooth when dry with a seperate file. The ends have a great point to them as well, and I have even used them as emergency tweezers to extract splinters after a woodworking slip up. So, in summary, a great product, nice design and...

disapointing, 10 July 2009
I purchased these because I have a poor grip and I thought they would be easier than my lever type clippers. When they arrived I was very pleased with the quality but a bit suprised at their size, smaller than I imagined. When I came to use them I could not get a decent grip and they just rotated within my hand. I ended up cutting 1 1/2 nails and had to revert to my original clippers. For anybody with a normally good grip they would probably be fine. I must say Amazon were very good a gave me a full refund, which is very unusal for personal items.

Rubbish, 6 Nov. 2010
Lasts for about three months and then the spring board bit in the middle wears down - it grinds against the metal so much that and you can not close the clippers anymore. Also the clippers are not sharp enough to cut skin properly. Going to return as not fit for purpose. Would recommend you stay clear of these and perhaps spend a bit more for quality ones and save yourself the hassle.
