Tangerine not translucent!, 4 Aug. 2017

I use the Max Factor 3 in 1 foundation and have been pleased with it so thought I would switch from my usual brand of pressed powder to this one based on reviews and it being translucent. The packaging is attractive, and the application and staying power of the powder is very good. However I'm very disappointed with the actual shade and smell of the powder - far from being translucent it's quite orange in shade and it's a bit too perfumed (think a vintage flowery smell) for my liking. After I've used it up I won't be purchasing again unfortunately.

Amazing smell great shades and cheap plastic unsecure box, 11 Mar. 2015

I really really love the smell of this powder. I can smell it all day long... i like powdery or heavy oriental pefrumes. But that's me and what we write here are our personal feelings about an item. I can tell you 1 thing- If you dont like the smell of creme puff... you will probably not like the smell of chanel no5 perfumes as i they are very simmilar.

About the shades im ivory/porcelainish skin.I was very affraid to buy this powder as I read the reviews about how orange some shades are. I spending hours of googling the pictures and decided and purchased 2 shades hoping that one of the will suit me. I picked .Light n Gay and Truly Fair. According to info i have found online Light n Gay is the lightes shade of Creme Puff Truly Fair is 1 shade darker.

If i could compare them to liquid foundation shades they would be porcelain (light n gay)and ivory (truly fair).

Both seem to suit my ivory complection.

I love the way this product feels and settles onto my skin. I purchased the translucent one and it definitely has no colour to it even though it seems like it does in the container. I use this after I apply my primer to fix my foundation a lot better, it works wonders! I also then dust a bit more onto my face with a big powder brush to give that satin finish feel. The only reason why I dont give it 5 stars is because it was quite a strong smell, almost like baby talc, and I am very sensitive to smells and woul've preferred if it was a bit more subtle in that sense.
