Maybelline Dream Touch Blush in "BERRY" Shade No 06

Up until now I have only used powder blushers, partly because I felt they were easier to use in controlling the amount applied. Being able to try a creamy style one for free, was an offer I could not resist, and here is my experience:

1st Impressions:

• Excellent presentation of the product, being in the little heavy glass pot, with the shade indicator plastic screw top, which was tamper-proof sealed

• The stick on label on the screw top confirms the Shade Number. Peel back the label, and on the left side you will see the Directions for Use and on the right hand side, a List of Ingredients. This is useful for anyone who suffers from allergies.

In Use:

• Having first applied a light Moisturiser to my face, then a Base Gel and light Foundation, I just used my fingertips to smooth some of this Blusher over my cheeks.

This cream blusher comes in a solid little glass pot. I received the shade, “berry,” which looks lighter when applied than it does in the product picture and looked more natural than I first thought it would. I actually applied it very lightly – just a touch is enough to give you a nice colour, without making you look like a doll.The cream is quite thick, but not greasy. I applied this just with my finger and found it easy to blend and smooth in. I was worried that it would look too bright on my pale skin, but it gave a healthy glow. Although the pot is small, you only need a very little of this, so it should last a reasonable time. This is a very nice product, which applies well and looks natural. I have always used powder blusher before, but I was very impressed with this.

Berry with a hint of Sparkle, 23 Dec. 2015

The blusher I have is the Berry 06 shade which is a rich pink shade of blush and comes in a glass jar with a screw on lid. The jar is then packaged inside a clear plastic bag and the usual Amazon packaging just in case anyone is wondering how this will be delivered. The blush is a soft cream formula rather than a powder and so can be applied very easily with a finger tip or applicator. The berry shade looks a lot darker inside the pot in person than on the product picture however depending on the amount used you can either have a lighter natural look or darker definition. The blush is really easy to apply and absorbs into skin easily to give a dry non-cream finish. The blush does have a slight glitter/sparkle effect which may not be to everyone's liking but I personally like it.
