Average powder, terrible packaging, 10 Jan. 2016
My first impression of this powder is that I was never going to be able to test it! You open the powder by unscrewing the lid, but it was very stiff and every time I tried to close it the threads would get stuck and I would struggle to open it again. The powder had also come loose in the packaging and made a mess when I opened it. The powder does not come with a sponge so I used one of my own. I did find it removed the shine from my skin and did match my skin colour well. It did have a chalky appearance though and there are far better pressed powders on the market in this price range. I did not find the powder lasted that well as my nose and forehead did start to get shiny after a couple of hours. This was a problem as I don't feel you could carry this powder around with you. The lack of room for a sponge in the packaging and the fact that the flimsy container would not last long in a handbag makes this an impractical product.

No staying power, 9 Jan. 2016
A budget powder compact that doesn’t incorporate either mirror or applicator, this is okay but nothing special. The compact is sealed with a small piece of tape and, once this is removed, I found it easy to open. In my case however the powder was no longer glued in place and had been left to clunk about inside, which loosened some of the product resulting in loss.I have used face powder selectively for a number of years but found this was rather cakey, even when applied sparingly with a brush. It didn’t have much staying power either, going from caked to naked skin at the drop of the hat. The last thing you want to do with powder is keep applying as that tends to result in dry-looking skin.Whilst it definitely had a matte finish on the skin I found it impossible to achieve the coverage I desired and I would therefore not use this again.

Applies well but paler than the name implies, 9 Jan. 2016
This comes in a plain plastic case which is adequate with no frills. Once I discovered the tape, fastening it down, it was easy enough to screw open, and I like that closure is secure. There is no pad or mirror for applying the powder. It is listed as nude beige but when I applied it it gave me a rather ghostly appearance. It applied easily and yes it was a matte powder but I could not use it without foundation. I was not really happy with this powder but I suppose it was mostly because it was not my colour.
