Novel contouring stick, double ended for practicality, needs a bit of practice to get the right result., 2 May 2016

This is something I hadn't come across before. The basic idea is that this stick (which resembles a double ended concealer stick) provides touches of colour to your make-up that give the illusion of blending some areas of the face into the 'background', whilst areas that you want to stand out, such as cheekbones and the forehead are highlighted with pale shading.

The beigy-caramel contour stick has a rounded end, whilst the very light flesh toned highlighter stick has a pointed tip that tesembles a lipstick. Both twist up, lipstick style and have clear plastic caps so that you can easily see which end is which.

Contouring and highlighting is a technique used by experienced make up artists and it takes a little trial and error to get it right.

Use too little and when you blend the colours in you may as well not have bothered.

Use too much and you resemble a Test cricketer who has been heavy-handed with the sunblock sticks in a heatwave.

create a stunning precise chiseled look, 1 May 2016

The product was tested by my wife whose comments and feedback was used as the basis for this review.I am fairly new to the makeup contouring, so it was an interesting experiment to be able to use this tool. The contouring pen is double ended providing a lighter shade (for illuminating best features) on one side and darker (for defining/ chiseling) on the other. The pen design does allow precise application, however you will need to blend in your self to make the effects more professional and the finish is only as good as your own makeup skills. Overall i am pleased with the contouring pen, as my skill improves I am sure the finish will look even better.The pen is particularly useful for defining key areas of the face to give a more chiseled and defined look for the nose, cheekbones, chin and eyes. When done well the results are very good.
