My skin has become increasingly irritated by the Gilette blades and the rash that it was causing was proving very tricky to control. I did some reading and discovered that some of this was a direct result of the multi-blade approach and that a single blade would reduce this in a posistive way at which point I happened upon the Men Rock web-site and loved the look of the product.I was on the verge of ordering direct when I happened upon this gift set at Amazon which provided razor, cream, brush, bowl and stand for around the same price as the razor on it's own direct providing fantastic value.As for the product itself, I am very happy with it. High quality, sturdy and the rash is definitely not as bad as it were previously - highly recommended.

I bought this as a start to DE shaving and thought it would be a good place to start. I was wrong.

Knowing nothing at the time I was getting very mixed results with the razor. I had bought a sample pack of blades and was working my way through the various blades It would be fine one side and then I would get loads of nics when I turned the razor round. I didn't notice that the blade was not sitting in straight. The whole thing had excessive wobble mean when you tightened up the screw thread the blade would be in a different place each time.

I have since purchased a Edwin Jagger DE89L and the difference is night and day. The manufacturing of the men rock razor is very poor in comparison. The sides of the head are not even square. The only good thing I can say is that the handle was grippy and nice to hold.

The Brush was also rubbish. It would brush the lather off your face instead of spread it around. I bought a cheapo Wilkinson sword brush from Wilko's as...

Great quality and value, 20 Feb. 2014

Gave this to my husband and he became a convert overnight. The shaving equipment is of a really high quality and gives a much closer shave than his previous razor. The skincare products are also excellent and smell great!
