Can only assume that those giving this low score did not read the instruction manual, Just used it for the first time and it given me a good all over grade one and lived up to all it's claims.As i say read the instructions -- Charge for 3 hours before.- Apply 5 drops of oil to the blades before use - I forgot to do this until halfway through the cut, once I had applied them the unit gave out a slighty deep buzz when switched on and gave an even closer cut.Initially run lines across the head - do not be alarmed if it makes your hair look clumpy and different lengths - the manual says this will happen, but then make circular motions and you will get an even cut.Read the manual about keeping it in working order (draining the battery and keeping it oiled)I'm only going to be using it for grade one, but the grade settings look a bit clunky.The trimmer is also really good and I'm using it for my stubble.

I have been balding since the tender age of nineteen and as a result have been keeping my hair short for twenty years. I very rapidly lost patience with barbers every four weeks and have been using clippers by myself for a long time. Prior to buying this I have been using the various iterations of Phillips diy clippers which have been always excellent. The only problem I have with the Phillips clippers is that they do not evenly cut hair around the prominences on the upper scalp and frequently leave a slight uneven area no matter how many times you go over it. ( when left grow, my hair in these areas stands straight up and is immediately obvious)

I bought crew cut Clipper to see if I could solve this. In contrast to the Phillips clippers which require multiple efforts to begin to cut difficult areas the babyliss clipper was very quick and easy. This product cut my hair and my son's quickly and efficiently with my wife operating it. No more waiting until Saturday to go in to town to have our hair cut. Now we have one of these, hair cuts can be had at any time.Nearly broke even, considering the cost of the barbers vs the cost of this product.One thing however, this product only gives you a crew cut, which is what it says on the tin! It does not layer or style your hair.Overall we are very pleased with our purchase.
