Merkur of Solingen 'Barber Pole' Slant Nickel Safety Razor 39 - No Blades Included is available in Razors

Merkur of Solingen presents its fabulously finished '39C Barber Pole' double edge safety razor. The 39C model has a longer handle than most and as with all Merkur safety razors the weight and balance is of the highest quality. It has a slanted cutting angle as opposed to the 38C edition which has a straight (non slanted) head. This razor will give a close shave with a minimum of passes. German made - quality assured, this razor is a fine example of precision engineering and should provide you with decades of use. So economical too, this razor takes all replacement double edge safety razor blades which are cheaper to buy than cartridge blades. Additionally, these blades give a closer shave and last longer than cartridge type blades. Manufactured by Merkur Stahlwaren in Solingen, Germany.

The razor has a lovely, heavy feel to it, the handle's a good length and the slant head gives the blade a cutting advantage. Handle with care though, the lightest touch is all that's needed otherwise you'll nick yourself.. I've been using this with astra premium blades, which are held firmly in position, and have been working very well and give a good close shave, far better than I was used to with my old razor, a budget DE. It's a 2-piece design, and very easy to keep clean. I've always regarded shaving as a pain, but I look forward to using this.

Much less aggressive than people say. Just use a lighter pressure than normal DE and you get a fantastic shave. Built to last a lifetime.
