Brow things, 19 Sept. 2014

As I've got older my eyebrows have got a little lighter and have developed areas that aren't quite as thick as the rest, though I'm lucky to have mostly fairly thick well defined brows naturally. This little kit is just perfect as good imo as anything from Benefit or other more expensive ranges. The medium colours suited me perfectly and the applicators aren't half bad for a reasonably priced kit, giving precise application that filled in the weak bits and defined the rest very naturally and easily. The little tweezers takes some getting used to as it's quite 'stiff' but it does a decent enough job if you notice a straggler when you're out and away from your regular tweezers. I was surprised at how good the highlighter is, it didn't look light enough to me but it gives my brow bone a natural glow that looks healthy and improves the look of everything.The only thing that could make this better is the inclusion of a reasonable mirror in the lid, preferably magnified.

I first stumbled on this for pence in some cheapo "drugstore' in New York. It gobsmacked me by seriously (for my money) outperforming my Benefit Browzings and my (previously adored) Illamasqua Brow Cake. Now it is my brow product of choice and as well as having one on the go I have one in reserve just is case I drop it - as I have a habit of doing with my war paint. What I really love about this kit is that, not only are the browns perfect for my eyebrows, but it can also be used to create a whole eye look. The hi lighter is perfect, not too shimmery or sparkly, and the darkest brown can be used damp as an eye liner. If I'm going away this is often the only kit I bring for a day time eye. Just buy it.

This is my first time of using a brow kit instead of a pencil and I wish I'd switched sooner. I'm in my mid forties and up until now my eyebrows were fine as they were.....but recently their natural colour started to lighten and they lose definition. Using a pencil was ok but could look a bit harsh and had a tendency to wear off quite quickly.This product, however, has no such issues. The colour is natural and it stays put! Even after a sweaty two hour bike ride, whilst the rest of me didn't look so hot, my eyebrows were still perfect!The medium shades are perfect for me. My hair is mid brown with blonde highlights. The two shades in the medium set would suit anyone from dark blonde through to dark brown as they give you plenty of options.Don't waste your money on more expensive brands. There's no need. This is quality apt an excellent price.
