Don't normally leave reviews, but these earplugs are excellent. I use earplugs every night because I'm a *very* light sleeper. I also have very small ear canals, so normal earplugs are quite painful and tend to "crawl" out of my ears in the night, even if I trim them. I've been using silicone earplugs for a while, but they're quite expensive (usually over £5 for 3 pairs) and they can break up in your ear if you use the same pair too many times (dangerous!). Also, they tend to slip out in the night too. These Moldex foam ones are fantastic though. They're small and soft - once they were in, I couldn't feel them, which made me think they wouldn't work. They DO work very well for ambient noise (traffic, neighbours etc) though. I'm not sure how they'd work against a snoring partner (since mine doesn't), but they'd definitely be worth a try. Tried many earplugs since am a light sleeper and have to sleep in many different places with strange noises. Decided to try these since smaller size earplugs seem more suited to me (and perhaps to others in general). They arrived as pairs each in their own plastic wrapper that was a little inconvenient (no box to keep them in). However, after three nights testing I am happy. The smaller size and contour makes them easier to slip and they cause less discomfort than most, especially other foam type plugs. When I wake up I even forget that I have them in. Should last for a while with reuse. Happy with purchase.

stayed in my small and sensitive ear canals, 23 Jan. 2013

I'd previously tried standard ear plugs due to noisy neighbours, but the plugs popped out since I have small ear canals, and also irritated my otitis (a chronic ear condition).

However, since there is now building work going on behind my house that starts very early in the morning, I decided to try again. I looked up earplugs on Amazon, and found these especially designed for small ears, and the Moldex website also says the material is suitable for sensitive ears.

They do stay in, and don't irritate my ears (although my otitis is only slighlty itchy at the moment, not at a painful stage).

However, they dropped a star in my review, since they only seem to block out noise effectively soon after they're inserted, or if they're pushed in further. It appears their expansion after insertion seems to lessen the seal, probably because the expansion pulls them out of the ear canal slightly (although they didn't actually fall out).

Still definitely...
