This is a lovely 3-piece razor that is perfect for those who are well versed in the ways of the safety razor and those who are new to the method/hobby/craft/wallet-crushing-destroyer-of-quick-grooming.

It's a reasonably gentle razor, in that the blade doesn't stick out too far and so you don't take off enormous slivers of skin. Personally, I have very sensitive skin on the neck and the razor burn that I get with this razor is faaaaar less than any other double edged or cartridge razor I've used. In fact, the only shave I've ever had that was more comfortable was a few years ago when I got into straight-edge shaving, but that took a lot of cuts, a lot of rashes and even more time to achieve than it did with this.

The head is very plain and all the more beautiful for it. In fact the whole razor seems to take the "less is more" approach, and it works really well.

Just started shaving with a safety razor at the age of 55 years and this is my first ever safety razor purchase. I am completely blown away by this razor not only is it extremely well made but gives me the best and closest shave ever. Such a smooth easy shave and no cuts or nicks. Why was I ever worried about using a safety razor. Just a word of warning though.....In the description I think it says no razor blade included but this came with a blade wrapped in paper and not knowing what it was I grabbed it, lucky not to get cut so watch out for it.

The Muhle R106 Safety Razor is a fantastic piece of kit.I was a bit apprehensive about buying it at first as I haven't really had much success with razors as they normally cut my skin to ribbons, especially around my neck.However after a fair bit of research I thought why not give it a go and see what happens, and Im glad I did. The single blade razor glides nicely over the skin when combined with a well lathered shaving cream (I can recommend Taylors of Old Bond Street natural shaving cream) leaves you with a lovely smooth shave without any nicks and cuts.Its handle has a good grip and the there is no need to force the razor, the weight of the head will guide the razor.Once I have finished with the razor I do take it all apart, wash the pieces individually and put a new razor blade on it ready for next time.
