Wow! The most mega close shave you could have. Nice feel and weight to the razor the best i have ever experienced. For the most discerning wet shaver who wants an ultra close shave, this razor is a must.

Closest shave ever., 14 Feb. 2014
This razor is by far the closest shave I've had so far since my return to wet shaving a year ago. I ditched the cartridge razors which were expensive and left me with rashes and bumps. I started with an entry level razor perfecting my technique and then moved to a slant razor. The slant was close but nothing compares to this. After two passes my face is incredibly smooth just like when I'm brave enough to use my straight razor. It is aggressive as more of the blade is exposed but if your careful and use no pressure at all it glides through the heaviest stubble. Amazing buy and I fully recommend it ..... When you have perfected your technique that is ! Not for the beginner.

Aggressive but smooth..., 6 April 2014
Less aggressive than the pre-2013 version but take care, this is still one of the most aggressive safety razors on the market. Insert a good, sharp blade and the R41 will slice through the thickest growth - I've used it on a 7-day beard and got a BBS shave in 2 passes.An excellent piece of kit, well engineered, it feels 'right' in my hand and it just looks good.Don't poke the caged beast with a stick - treat it gently and you'll be rewarded.
