When I got this, I thought it was just for a better, nicer looking razor to have a nice set. Pleased to say it definitely helps round the all good experience and improved shave and I get the idea of the razor head weight.
For beginners like me looking to convert:
I used to dread shaving as got thick'ish beard and sensitive skin and after looking into DE (double edge) shaving with its acclaims and thought it was worth a go. So having just converted to DE, I like it a lot! Its actually a good experience shaving now!
Wanting to ditch the Gillette fusion, I started with a supermarket bought cheap Wilkinson's razor and brush(which I already had). My first time (still using Gillette's gel) I looked like a 'victim'. Second time I used a Palmolive soap stick and it was a far better experience and shave. Like many things, the basic rule applies with razors.... if you buy cheap, you buy twice.
The chances are that if you are researching this product then you are either thinking about making the switch to a safety razor from a cartridge style razor or you currently own the 6.99 wilkinson sword plastic safety razor and are trying to work out if there is any value in upgrading to an all metal safety razor. Either way you are likely to be new to this type of product.
Let me make this simple for you. Don't waste any more time researching all the other thousands of safety razors and simply stop right here and buy this one. For the price, you simply will not find anything better and unless you are prepared to stretch your budget to £50+.
The Muhle will give you a close comfortable shave superior to any cartridge razor. It's pretty gentle as far as safety razors go; as long as you use decent shaving soap then you are pretty unlikely to slice your face into...
