Bought to replace a similar product from another range which is beginning to lose its effectiveness after 15-plus years of use. The current offering from the same brand is very much smaller and less easy to use for that reason. However, it will easily fit into a purse or a small manicure set, which this will not (not a personal issue).The best thing about this nail file is its price; sold by several sellers at different prices but all less than the competition.Some of the more expensive alternatives use two different grades on the respective sides, and this does too although the grades are not marked. On mine the side with the cuticle pusher is also the coarser grade, but it may vary. It also provides a cleaning tip for use under the nails and a cuticle pusher incorporated into the handle. The overall length is approximately 17.5cm (almost 7-inches) of which about 1/3 of the total is in its handle. This should be sufficient for the toe nails.
