Suvorna Professional Toenail Clipper 5.5" Very Impressed, 18 Oct. 2011

If you have tough nails and especially if you suffer from in-growing toe nails, I find that you need good quality pliers to cut them properly and cleanly. Otherwise expensive chiropody treatment may be needed to correct the problems caused by poor clipping.

This set of clippers arrived the day after I ordered them carefully packaged including a quality holding box, which is great service.

Compared to my cheaper clippers that these will replace, I am delighted with the Suvorna alternative:

Firstly they feel very well made with exacting tolerances. Made out of stainless steel there is no worry about corrosion which can happen with cheaper plated clippers (should the plating fail or wear in use). That also makes them more hygienic to clean properly.

Unlike my previous clippers these are 25% longer being approximately 5.5 inches from blade tips to handles. That extra length makes such a massive difference because there is so much extra leverage...

Does not work as I had hoped, 30 Oct. 2013

At 76, my toenails are very tough which is why I bought this expensive set of clippers, but I am afraid they won't cut my nails as I wanted them to, and I now have to visit the chiropodist at regular intervals. The clippers used there work as I had hoped these would. Disappointing.

Blunt clippers, 14 Sept. 2012

I found that the toenail clippers supplied were so blunt they would only chip at my toenails. It was impossible to cut using the left hand. I have now gone back to my Scholl toe nail cutters and I would not recommend the Suvorne clippers to anyone.All credit due to Amazon and their superb returns service.
