Mango butter is a light yellow coloured waxy solid taken from the seed kernels of the fruit of the mango tree. Similar in texture to Shea Butter, Mango Butter is a waxy, soft solid; much softer than cocoa butter.?

Main Uses:

?Mango Butter is a mild lubricant on the skin, and has moisturising benefits in lotions, and therefore ideal for use in skin care, soaps, cleansers, sticks and balms. It also contains healing qualities for wounds. When added to Sweet almond oil, cornstarch and a fragrant essential oil (of choice) it is possible top turn your Mango Butter into a homemade body cream??

Have never used mango butter, but wanted to try as a baseline butter for making lipbalm, turns out, this is ideal as it has a more oily texture, a bit like vaseline but more solid. It is really lovely on the lips :) I have also used on skin & leaves a very soft, non greasy finish. Has a very feint fruity smell, but nothing strong & doesnt smell like mango. Colour is a clear-white. Overall a very nice butter which I am happy I discovered :)

I always use shea butter for my hair, but thought I'd mix things up a bit and changed to mango butter. I must admit, my hair hair feels very well conditioned. I mixed the mango butter with some avocado oil which was also purchased through Amazon, along with some some castor oil. I will try the cocoa butter next time.

Didn't realise how grainy it is. You have rid rub it into your skin for quite a while before the grains melt in. Not very moisturising.
