This expensively packaged and strongsmelling mascara features a straight brush and jet black colour. It coated both the top and bottom lashes evenly, separating and lengthening them. It is, however, out of my price range, hence why it loses a star.

I'd not heard of this make-up brand before but am very impressed with this mascara. It's well presented in a long silver tube. The wand has a round bristly brush at the end which separates the lashes really well and makes it easy to reach the smaller ones in the corner of the eye. I have quite short, stubby lashes but two coats of this mascara has had a visible lengthening and thickening effect on them.It doesn't flake and only smudged a tiny amount after a full day's wear (I admit I had rubbed my eyes though as I was tired). I wear contact lenses and didn't experience any irritation.It's more expensive than high-street brands and therefore probably only something I would purchase if there was a deal on or I got it as part of a set. I have used cheaper mascaras which were just as impressive.

Absolutely brilliant on hooded eyes, 27 Nov. 2016
I dislike most mascaras. I have hooded eyes and oily eyelids, and most just smudge all over my brow bone and flake under my eyes. My regular mascara, Max Factor False Lash Effect, is the only one I'd found up till now that didn't do this. The i-flutter mascara is now the second! It comes in a lovely, expensive-feeling silver metal tube, with a long wand and small, bristly brush. I found the length of the wand made it very easy to control the application of the mascara. The formula is very dry (which I think is a large factor in it not smudging) and dries quickly. The box recommends applying 2-3 thin coats, and it does layer well. The result is long, fluttery lashes - it also provides volume but I think length is its strength. I'm seriously impressed and considering switching to this mascara long-term - it's a fair bit more expensive than the Max Factor, but the price translates into a quality product that's lovely to use.
