How to make it work., 10 Feb. 2016
This is five star if you pretty much ignore the instructions on the box. I foolishly bought six packs from Superdrug when they were on offer because I had just used the 'old' formula and was very pleased with the results. I won't bore you with the trial and error just give a summery of what worked for me.1) Throw away the Pre-treatment and the conditioner; I've concluded the Pre-treatment inhibits the toner and I'd rather use my own tried and tested conditioner than the one in the box.2) Wash your hair and wrap a towel around it for five minutes to dry the excess water, then apply the mixed hair colour.3) Leave it on for 15 minutes longer than the box statesThis covered 99% of my greys. Following the instructions on the box didn't touch them.I will now buy it again because I now know how to get the result I want.

A lifesaver!, 24 Feb. 2015

I purchased this from a supermarket, not amazon, due to a special offer.

I turned to this dye as I had a bit of a nightmare at the hairdressers. I went to them for a change after using L'Oreal Superior Preference Rose Gold Blonde 8RG for a year - I was tired of the warm reddish blonde colour and wanted to darken and cool down my blonde colour. I thought this type of change was best left in the hands of hairdressers - how wrong was I?

For reasons best known to herself, my hairdresser (not my usual) applied a L'Oreal 9 ash blonde majirel to my roots, and then worked an 8 ash blonde majirel through to my lengths. While washing these out, the horrible yellow-orangeness of my roots must have been very apparent, as she then proceeded to apply a toner (read: bleach) on my scalp, which began to itch, then to burn unbearably. After this was also washed out and I sat back down in front of the mirror, I knew that I was very unhappy with my root colour, and that the no9...

Excellent product., 13 Sept. 2015
I normally have my hair coloured at the hairdressers but I've broken my ankle and can't get out. My roots desperately needed doing so I purchased this make and shade as it seemed to be the closest match to the concoction the hairdresser makes up. I've used it this morning with the help of a winged dressing table mirror to see the back and am really pleased with the result. It's a perfect shade and my hair is lovely and glossy. I left it on the roots for 35 minutes as my grey is quite resistant and then combed it through for a few minute. Covered grey perfectly and smells pleasant. I would certainly recommend it! Feel like a new woman.
