This is the hair dryer from the new "Supershine" range of hair products from Nicky Clark. First thing to note is the Amazon price - only £30 - £20 less than the £50 list rrp which has to be good. I would imagine we can expect further products in the styling and dying ranges!
The hair dryer itself is a very premium looking and well designed piece of equipment in it's very stately black and copper colour scheme. As I gave up using these machines some twenty years ago or more when the last of my hair was blown away in a high wind I'll leave the operational opinions to my wife and 29 year old daughter.
The main and basically only disagreement is over the weight of the dryer, daughter reckons it is a bit heavy and strength sapping after prolonged usage bur the wife just laughs and tells our daughter to get back in the gym and tone up her muscles a bit more! Both agree that the motor is a powerful beast (220 W) with 3 heat and 2 speed settings that can be...

This dryer gets ten out of ten (or five out of five) for looks. Even the box looks good. The dryer itself is bigger than I expected, and looks more like a raygun than anything else. I loved the black and copper colour scheme. First downside - it weighs a lot. However, if you don't have any joint or muscle problems, or you have short hair which dries faster, you should be fine.
The instruction book was pretty clear, and we had no trouble using the different functions. The two speeds go from gentle breeze to gale force in a flick of the switch, and we were startled by how powerful the high speed mode was. There are three heat settings, going from coolish to pleasant to tropical blast. We both preferred the...

The product description of this Nicky Clarke hair dryer includes the words “super shine”, and this aspect is most important. Initially the device appears very similar to many hair dryers – powerful motor (2200W), on/off switch, 2 speed settings, 3 level heat setting, and cool shot. The usual hair drying and grooming operations are as expected and confirmed in an accompanying instruction booklet – start at high heat and full speed for initial drying, then revert to lower heat and slower speed for styling.
For fixing to the main hot air outlet a removable slim concentrator is provided for precise control via directing air flow as appropriate. At the other end is a removable air inlet grill cum filter that will need to be cleaned regularly. At the connection of cable to device is a hanging loop, and though it is a twin cable (without earth) there is a standard UK 3-pin plug. The Nicky Clarke hair dryer is quite noisy, and it is a bit on the heavy...
