Basic moisturiser, disguised to look fancy!, 20 April 2015

I have had this for a few weeks now and I haven't noticed any anti aging or rejuvenation in my skin at all. I think this is overpriced moisturiser with no real medical evidence to prove the claims of skin rejuvenation or anti aging properties at all. At most I felt that this cream made my skin feel a bit softer after use, but the cheaper basic Nivea moisturiser does this and this felt no different to be honest.

The cream itself is quite generous in how it spreads and I didn't need to use much to spread it over my whole face, but I felt it left my face feeling a bit wet and sticky for some time after use and my fingers were left feeling tacky also even when the cream had been thoroughly rubbed in and absorbed. I have barely used any of the cream even though I have had it for several weeks, so I guess considering it lasts a while the cost spreads itself out a bit, but when the cheaper cream does the same thing and feels the same, I don't think it is justified.

Good light night cream, 15 April 2015

As I was given this cream free in return for an honest review, I decided to use it on one side of my face for 2 weeks, whilst using my usual simpler Nivea moisturiser on the other side. I was also using the day cream and eye cream from the same range. The night cream feels lovely to use. It is not heavy at all, as some night creams are. It sinks in really fast and is not at all greasy. It left my skin feeling good and was still fine in the morning. My skin is becoming slightly dry, and I do feel like I really need a day moisturiser now, but I wouldn't normally use a night cream as I find them heavy and my skin isn't desperately dry, but I will be happy to use this one. It's the best one from Nivea that I have tried. I didn't see any immediate improvement in lines and plumpness, above what I would see from my basic Nivea cream. After the 2 weeks I can't see a difference between the 2 sides of my face, but I do like this cream.

Smooth and easy to apply, 1 April 2015

Nivea do have some very high quality skin care products and this is one such example. A smooth white cream that only requires a few light dabs to cover the face. It covers well and absorbs quickly, but not so fast that you can't get even coverage first.

I really can't attest to the anti-aging properties because as with all anti-aging and anti-wrinkle products there is no real way of saying if this works in the short term. I don't doubt that what they say is true, but I don't put too much weight on it. I am sure that the theory behind these products is sound and I have seen some elderly people with good skin tone and texture due to them taking care of their skin and moisturising regularly.

I haven't had any reactions to this and it does leave my skin feeling soft, smooth and relaxed. The current price of £15 might seem a little steep, but it is reasonable for a product such as this and a little dab goes a long way.
