OPI - the best nail varnishes I have ever used., 17 Aug. 2016

Totally love OPI nail varnish - brand new convert to this range and their amazing colours - I have been lucky enough to test 4 colours:

Pale to the Chief - a lovely neutral shade which is great for everyday wear.

CIA Color Is Awesome - a rich dark teal colour.

Ssh - It's Top Secret

"Liv" in the Grey - a totally lovely rich dark grey colour.

I have never been good at applying varnish - usually ending up with which a poor attempt that I had given up on wearing varnish. Gel nails were a revolution for me - however after using regularly for a couple of years my nail condition was suffering.My very make-up savvy daughter introduced me to OPI recently and I cannot believe how easy they are to apply. My latest application is on day 4 and zero chips! unheard of for me....

The range claims to be professional and I have noted that many nail bars seem to rate this manufacturer too. The brush is slightly longer than I recall from...

Lovely colours in the box set, 15 Aug. 2016

A lot of other vine members were offered these for free, however i was not offered any and i have to admit i was gutted as i love opi, and have do much of their stuff.

I decided to buy the collection myself because i am a huge fan of Scandal and Kerry Washington.

The box is nice, has an elegant picture of Kerry on the front and has the 3 best colours of the collection.

I am attaching a picture of my nails painted in each colour, please note that this is only one coat of each colour.

Liv in the gray is my favourite, but surprisingly Isabelletway looks fab on, and i hate anything brown. Despite the fact that purple is my favorite color, the Kerry Blossom is not.

Getting the 3 mini ones works out cheaper than 1 bottle, but rip off Britain strikes again as in the usa these are only £7.50 for a full 15ml bottle which is a massive difference.

The biggest disappointment for me is that they don't do a boxed set with all...

Nice transitional shade..., 11 Aug. 2016

Suzi, The First Lady Of Nails is a slightly dusty olive green creme. This shade is perfect for this time of the year; I'm getting bored of wearing my summer shades, but am not quite ready for full-on vampies. I've removed a star because I know that OPI have several similar polish shades, so I'll warn you now that if you do already own one of OPI's similar shades and like the formula of it, then you can skip this as there is really nothing new on offer here - just a tune-up on a classic OPI shade.

This might not be a unique colour, but it has a winning formula; it's not too thick and gloopy, but is not thin and streaky either. This shade straddles the line between being a one coater and a two coater, so sometimes there'll be one or two thin spots with just the one coat on me, so I do find that I need that second coat to level everything out. Someone who is better than me at painting their nails, will probably only need the one coat. Here's my usual statement for nail polish...
