Simply disappointing, 30 Nov. 2013

Having heard some quite positive things, I've found myself disappointed by the reality of this product.

I'm really underwhelmed by this cream. It's effectively a moisturiser, with inbuilt face powder.

I'll hold my hands up to falling for marketing speak in making this purchase: I failed to cut through the pseudo-science to what (for me) is one of the biggest issues. Olay CC cream is available in two shades - fair to medium and medium to dark. I have very pale skin (I burn rather than tan), and when buying foundation/powder tend to need the palest shade available. As it turns out, fair to medium is a rather darker shade than I need, creating an overall unnatural, orangish cast. I'm left suspecting that there must be lots of other people whose skin is not best suited by these generalised shades.

Quite apart from the colour, the product feels unpleasantly greasy, and I'm not keen on the pump-style dispenser, which puts out measured 'doses' of product...

Good product, although can feel a little "thick" on your skin. Be careful how much you put on. Works though!

Usually I find makeup too heavy and tend to use a mineral foundation. I ordered this to try it as it "conceals and corrects". Well by golly it does what it says and you need very little. I like the fact that it does not clog pores and lasts a full day. Comes off easily and no greasy or heavy feel. Love it
