I bought these for my daughter who is now 12 and was supposed to wear an eye patch whenever possible because she has a "lazy eye", and by using patches it will help strengthen the eye muscle by forcing the "lazy eye" into use. (She was advised to start wearing patches when she was diagnosed at aged 8 but I could never persuade her.) She comes home from school every day and at weekends and puts the 3M eye patch on without any argument and these definitely do the job. They can cause a little redness to her skin sometimes when she takes them off at the end of the day but that doesn't put her off. its caused by the stickiness of the glue. I guess I would prefer this rather than the patch not staying on! The 3M patches come with cute little stickers which can be applied to the patch. I'm sure this will appear to younger children. My daughter uses them for other things - like sticking on birthday cards she sends!

Watch out for the glue!, 15 Jun. 2017
I bought these because I had some facial paralysis and needed to tape my eye shut at night. They seemed like a good idea, but actually the glue grips pretty hard and, unless you soak the patch off, can leave your skin feeling pretty sore after you peel it away. The patterns are cheery and probably would be nice for a kid working on a lazy eye, but be a bit careful in removing it...

Arrived promptly. I'm an average size women and they fit very well. I think they would fit most adults. Comfortable to wear. Hurts a tiny bit, like taking off a plaster when removing, though bearable. I have very sensitive skin and I do NOT get a rash with these. I would recommend them if you need to use them. Due to my condition I need to be able to open my eye underneath the patch and can do this comfortably and still blink etc. I think if you need to keep your eye shut you could easily apply them to do this.
