This lightweight, reasonably priced, fragrance-free, silky eye serum from Canadian brand ‘The Ordinary’ contains some good hydrating ingredients and free radical fighting antioxidants, with skin repairing hyaluronic acid, and a very high concentration of caffeine at 5%. It comes in a hygienic dark brown glass bottle with a dropper dispenser, which I like, making it easy to use, and only a couple of drops are needed to treat both eyes.

One of the chemicals in caffeine is the antioxidant tannic acid, which gives caffeine constricting qualities when applied topically to the skin, and while this may help to reduce under-eye puffiness if caused by fluid retention, which has many causes, unfortunately, the constricting effect is also potentially irritating for the skin, particularly at such high concentrations as seen here in this formula. I would advise patch testing for sensitivity before use around the eye area.
