I have previously used de-pillers for knitware with mixed success. I have found that lint combs have worked reasonably well, but not perfectly, and a previous battery driven delinter just didn't work at all, as the slightest resistance caused it to stop.
This de-linter is in a different league and works perfectly. I chose it because I thought that a rechargeable unit might have more power than a battery driven unit, and I was pleased to discover I was right. All you have to do once you have charged it up is to place the knitwear on a flat surface, switch the delinter on and gently glide it over the surface. The litlle pills and fluff are cut off and collected in the collection chamber where they are slightly compressed. The knitwear comes up almost as new. I needed a heavy duty de-bobbler.
I brought and tried other ones before this but they all broke after not really much use at all.
I saw this one on Amazon with all the good reviews and decide to buy it (although I'm always cautious about buying anything from overseas, I've had problem in the past but I think when buying on Amazon you are protected)
This de-bobbler just keeps on going. and I mean it - it just keeps going, the battery last for ages, I haven't timed it but I'm always using it and hardly ever charging it.
It's also a good solid construction and easy to clean.
The only down problems are:
As I'm writing this there's only sellers from China so you have to wait about a month for it to arrive.
I'm not sure if they were like this when it arrived but trying to get the two metal prongs to stick into the adaptor to charge it can be a bit of a battle now. I'm not sure if I've bent mine, I do use it a lot so it's possible! I don't...
