I came across the Palmolive cream by chance when walking in the Scottish Islands. After a week without shaving I visited a small general store to buy the kit. The only options were the usual cans of skin drying foam and the little oils, all of which I have used the in the past. They work, but I find they all end up drying or irritating the skin after a while. So I decided to try this cream. In a nutshell it is simple and great.

You only need small drop, and it works into a nice lather easily. The shave is a good as you are ever going to get. No particular smell to it as well, which I like. No dry skin, and because it only needs a small amount a tube will last months.

I travel a large amount for work, including places where the air that will strip the skin in hours, so I have become very particular in what products I use. After around a year of using this I would not imagine using any other product in the future. It only costs a couple of pounds, so I highly...

This cream offers a good lather if used with a shaving brush it has no perfume smell of any note and is surprisingly kind to my sensitive skin. The cream leaves my face feeling moisturised, unlike shaving soaps.

A good hydrated lather really is important to a irritation free shave, so forget about that gunk from a pressurised can and treat your face to a really good shave. Once you find your preferred shaving cream or shaving soap you're half way to the best shave you've ever given yourself.

My tip for the newbie.

Use about the size of a small teaspoon, some say an almond size in a bowl using a soaked shaving brush having gently shaken out the excess water or like me, apply the cream on to the wet shaving brush, having gently shaken out the excess water, then create the lather on your face, either way wet your beard for two to three minutes to soften the beard, once you've perfected the lathering, you will find the razor will glide effortlessly over your...

I've been shaving for the past 30 odd years, and of all the creams, foams and oils that I have tried, this is what I always come back to.Fairly cheap (but not here for some reason!) lathers up well (better than the competition), leaves my face feeling nice.
