I decided that £260 per annum was a bit much to spend to not have a moustache (& it wasnt that hairy), I'd looked at recipes for making my own hair removing sugar but thought it better to try with a ready-made product.
It's a bit tricky the first time as the sugar is stringy like syrup but 2nd time I managed it without any problems; make sure you organise yourself & do it with a magnifying mirror & good light, have the removal fabric cut into strips for pulling off small areas of hair, there is a check list to follow.
I heated it in the micro-wave , I did it for longer than was suggested but I wont quote the time as I wouldnt want anyone to get burnt following my timing, its more about having the sugar flexible rather than heating it up. Wow. What can I say? I cannot believe that I haven't tried this before. After decades of waxing and the resulting skin irritation, sticky mess, and nasty petrochemicals that's in almost all of them, I decided to give sugaring a go. The inevitable 'plucked chicken look' fades quickly and you are left with really smooth skin. And unlike waxing, which sticks to everything, including new skin cells, sugaring only adheres to the hair follicle and dead skin cells so it's far less damaging. Oh, and if you spill it (as I did!) its really easy to clean up, washing off instantly!! This isn't the cheapest product but for a first-timer, I am very impressed and until I am brave enough to try and make my own, this...
