My boyfriend is a big traditional shaving enthusiast, and a shaving soap / shaving cream / cologne / aftershave collector. He loves to try out all the old traditional products and sents, and is always on the hunt for something he hasn't tried yet.

He pointed out to me that he read excellent reviews about this aftershave, and would love to try it out, so I bought it for him as a small gift. Sometimes theese older sents are excellent, sometimes they are an acquired taste, so we were both a bit nervous waiting for Pashana to arrive.

When he tried it out, we both absolutely loved it. He was extremely happy with it, and so was I. He smelled great!

The only concern he had about it was that later on when it wears out a bit, it becomes slightly more sweet and powdery and he thought it might seem a bit un-manly. I smelled him then, and yes - it was a bit sweet and powdery, but no - he didn't smell any less manly to me.

I gave this stuff a try as I'd seen a lot of positive reviews about it being a good old-fashioned barber shop style aftershave.Even before opening the bottle the scent was overpowering- like, as the title suggests, opening Joan Collins' handbag. I found the Pashana was just too strong and a little too much 'maiden aunt' for me - whether it's musky, floral, sandalwood, patchouli or whatever it is I didn't take to it.Just a few drops is enough to give the impression you've bathed in the stuff. It is long-lasting, I will say that for it, so you get value for money.A lot of people seem to like it but I prefer the Pinaud Clubman and Old Spice style aftershaves. YMMV.

Hello everyone. I am very happy that I found Pashana. I normally use a sandlewood aftershave from Walgreens drugstores. It smelled like you just got of the shower all day. These days it is very hard to find something you like and stay with. This aftershave is not that much on the sandlewood but I like it anyway.I can see why it's been around for over a 100 years.
