Beware this is NOT Pears Natural Soap, 3 April 2014
Buyer beware - this is not as advertised. I bought this on the strength that the ingredients advertised were almost identical to the original Pears soap and thought that this is what I was buying. However, what I received was the muck that Unilever Islamabad are trying to pass off as Pears soap. A 200 year old product ruined by a greedy corporation and a lovely natural soap replaced with a chemically filled highly allergic combination bringing the brand into disrepute. I contacted Medideals, however, and they were very good about returning it so no complaints with that.Please take off the ingredients list shown as it is misleading - BRING BACK THE REAL PEARS SOAP!!!!!

Like many other reviewers, I've used Pears soap for decades. Put great effort into always having a supply as it's not always readily available in all countries (so living abroad have had friend arriving from UK with half a suitcase of Pears, or mother in usa keeping a bar sacrosanct for my visits, etc.). For the past few years my skin has changed, and I'd ascribed it to aging. Hey! no longer. Have recently caught up with this discussion, changed soaps and hey presto, skin going back to not being leathery and blotchy. Not back to how it was with REAL PEARS (shouting at Unilever, there) but much better than with what one reviewer has called crap Pears. That's a polite way of putting it. And the term I'd use to describe Unilever is unprintable on Amazon. '200 year old brand' indeed. Shame on you, for your cynicism, exploitation of this once-fine name and contempt for the public.And has it been re-named on Amazon to shed the telling reviews?
