i'm going to university this coming september and have been accumulating some of the things that i want to take with me in advance so that i don't have to get it all at once.
when i saw this product, i thought 'omg; i can finally stop losing my favourite pens!' iv'e used this for some of my more expensive pens that i don't want to bung in the pen-pot along with all the others, which this is perfect for. it's stronger than it looks in the picture and i able to hold heavy fountain pens along with slim pencils.
the magnets on the sides are just powerful enough to hold a bout-load of paper clips and strips of staples, though not too strong that you'll have trouble detatching them when you want them.
i also like the fact that you can put the unit on its side and pull the pens out of the top, which would be a good way to ensure that you place the pens nib-diwn to prevent them from not working when you go to use them.
