The best one I've ever used., 4 Feb. 2015

The Philips BikiniGenie comes with a silky drawstring carry bag, a small brush for cleaning the razor head, a Philips battery and a trim attachment for a longer cut/tidy up. The first thing I noticed - apart from the attractive cerise and white colour - was how light the trimmer is. When I say light, I don't mean flimsy - because it has a nice solid feel to it and I especially like the non-slip, easy-grip handle. The battery is simple to install - a half twist on the lower handle section opens it and the same goes for the upper section to remove the razor for washing.

I know I'm not the only woman to have had a nasty experience with a bikini trimmer when the teeth would snag and practically rip the hairs out by the roots. Not something you easily forget! Since then, I've been very wary of using bikini trimmers. The head of this trimmer is quite small, which is good for reaching into the niche at the top of the thigh. It also takes away the worry of accidentally nicking your...

Love your Lady Garden!, 31 Jan. 2015

To provide some brief context for this review, I have been using Philips Ladyshave products since my teens (now in my 40s) and am a big fan of the brand, as they make, for the most part, effective and affordeable gadgets. I have previously used both Philips and Boots own brand bikini area trimmers, the earlier models tended to look like mens clippers and did a fairly decent job, with the caveat that they were perhaps a little too big to get into tricky contoured areas.

The Bikini Genie looked a little cheap when I first opened the packaging, probably due to the lurid fushia pink colour of the plastic used - however in the hand it was nicely weighty and had a really pleasant tactile rubberised feel. Easy peasy lemon squeezy to get going - it takes one AA battery (supplied) which goes inside the lower part of the handle - you twist rather than pull off the bottom half of the trimmer to get access to the battery compartment, and twist back on once the battery is in place...

Neat and good value, 10 Feb. 2015
Very neat looking product - small size and nicely designed. There is a small bag to keep it in and the pack includes 1 (AA) battery. There is a small brush for cleaning and a "guide" for less aggressive trimming. Passing it over to my partner she was impressed by it and said that it was very effective and easy to use in practice. She felt that it did not give a very close finish however she was very happy with the results. I see no reason why it would not be usable by a man if he had the need for a trim. The head is removable for cleaning and it can be used wet or dry. All in all a good product and good value for money to us.
