Very good beard trimmer at a good price., 19 Jun. 2015

This is a really good beard trimmer with a solid construction (metal shave head), a good weight in your hand (nice and steady) and great design. There are two options for the shave head: a normal size trimmer or simply rotate the head to use the narrow trimmer. This easy mechanism makes it simple to move from neatening my beard to trimming the detailed areas of my facial hair, including sideburns and around the ears.

You can adjust for different lengths too - minimum length is 0.4mm and maximum is 10mm, which covers my needs (basically will do designer stubble to full beard and is easy to use on neat lines).

I am very pleased with the performance of this trimmer. It doesn't tug at the skin, or catch on hairs and I have not had any cuts or rashes.

The other features that stand out for me are the charge to use ratio - an hour on charge gets you an hour of use, and the fact that it's waterproof, so easy to clean after use.

This stands up well to my Wahl and is pretty...

Best of the bunch, 18 Jun. 2015

I have had the chance to try a number of different beard trimmers over the past year and until now my favourite had been the Wahl Lithium Pro Stubble Trimmer but this new model from Philips has become my trimmer of choice. For a start it feels good to use - it's not heavy in the hand but it is still solid enough. Recharging is simple and it has an indicator to show when it is fully-charged, and it also lasts well in-between charges. There is a great choice of settings and most beard lengths are catered for on the shorter end of the scale, but I was surprised to see that the maximum length it can handle is 10mm which is less than my Wahl trimmer and some other models. I love the fact that it can be washed under a tap and also that the cutting head can be rotated to a smaller size of blade which is good for areas around the mouth etc. The trimming action is also comfortable and I haven't experienced any pulling of hairs or skin cuts. Results have been excellent and I'm very pleased with...

Well built, and no frills., 10 Sept. 2015
As soon as I took this product out of the box, I could tell that the build quality was superb. It is well made with a sort of rubberized plastic going along the back allowing for a better grip; it fits nicely into the hand.It allows you to get a really close shave and can be used very accurately, especially thanks to the tinier trimmer head which is good to add some final touches. The adjustment wheel is smooth and well built too.Once clipped on, the comb is initially a little hard to remove and you need to pull it fairly hard. Luckily the comb doesn't break but comes off in one piece. However, whilst not required, a release button mechanism would've been a nice luxury to have to make removing the comb a lot easier.I ordered this via amazon prime and as usual, it was delivered the next day, nicely packaged.
