Unfounded skepticism, 6 May 2014

If you're reading this you're probably a bit skeptical, like I was before I bought it. I was worried I'll have an non-returnable item that turned out to be rubbish but, this isn't the case.It's brilliant, I got it mainly for my back hair, of which there is unfortunately a lot... I tried it straight out the box for five minutes and used it quite quickly, probably much more quickly than you're supposed to use it but even so, it cut the hairs perfectly without any pulling either.It's charging now to tame the rest of my gorilla-esque self, to the point where I'm almost excited to use it. If you're hairy seriously don't hesitate and just get this.

Addition of extension handle to shave your back is very welcome., 24 Aug. 2012

My partner had a basic Philips Bodygroom for several years. And after very regular use it finally packed up.I searched for the same model but to no avail.This is the nearest I could find for him.His review ="It is excellent for de-furring. It is smooth and does not nick your tender bits. Philips seem to be very adept at producing male groomers and I have always been happy with them. But they don't last forever.The extending handle so you can de-fuzz your own back is really useful. I'm amazed nobody thought of that before.My old groomer was approx £30. This model is more expensive but it is better build quality and that handle is worth the extra money. I like it."I also like it because I will no longer get drafted in to mow his back for him.

Well, what can I say? I'm as hairy as a hippy werewolf with extra hairiness added.

I was initially sceptical that this would do the job - but do it it did.

The first session was a toughie - I switched on the shaver in the shower, without using the comb attachment.

The blade quickly became clogged and had to be rinsed clean every half-a-minute, but it's easy to rinse and remember that it was doing a heavy duty job as this is the first full-on depilation-demolition-follicle-flaying session I had ever done.

It performed admirably even under such severe strain - to give you an idea of how much body hair I had before manscaping: imagine you killed a grizzly bear with its winter coat on, then skinned it and laid the pelt down in the bath-tub.

That's what my bath-tub looked like.

My wife and I filled several wheelbarrows with my dead fur and took it into the yard where we were able to fill not just our garbage bin, but two of our neighbour's bins as well. She...
