This rechargeable face trimmer has a nice handle, and a number of attachments which lock on sympathetically to their uses to make the most of its shape. as a result, whatever the face-enhancing task you encounter, you will always feel in control and relaxed using any of the fittings. It holds charge well, and comes with a UK plug. The tray/stand pictured in the product photo is a flimsy piece of plastic packaging, and not really a storage solution. There is a vinyl bad into which to stuff everything, but this too feels cheap.

There are 2 standard cutters, one smaller and finer for edging and one slightly wider for shortening and trimming. The latter is small enough to follow face contours, the former much smaller for intricate edging, and mounts backwards (relatively) so it naturally goes edge-on to the face. Mediocre... Much Better Alternatives Out There, 25 Feb. 2013

These trimming kits are becoming a dime a dozen lately and while this Phillips one does the job, there is nothing about it that distinguishes it from any of a million others that are out there.

First thing I will point out is that in the product description it makes mention of a 'storage box'. Don't be fooled though because this storage box is in fact just the rubbish plastic case that it is stored in inside the actual cardboard box and I can't see anyone ever wanting to use that as it's just plain ugly, cheap and takes up a lot of room. It does also come with a drawstring pouch which is much better for storage.

The other big drawback for me is that although it is meant to be a precision trimming kit, the smallest actual shaving attachment for it is almost an inch in width so anyone after well defined goatees or sideburns will be out of luck unless they have the steady hands of a surgeon.

good value for money and worthy of five stars, 21 Mar. 2013

I've tried many time to grow facial hair with varying degrees of success, I've looked at nicely trimmed facial hair on others and thought how do they do that?

The Philips goes someway of giving you the tools, although you will need a steady hand for some of the finer detail.

It's not the best made tool but the price is not expensive, the tools all appear to do the job, my personal favorite is the nose trimmer which doubles up to trim my ever growing ear hair (must be something that happens when you get older)

I like the stand that it all sits in, it's plastic but does the job.

My attempts at having a nice design to my facial hair have not been a great success, problems is you can't have another go once you have removed some of the beard, I used the hair clipper to trim the shape of my hair around my ears which I think was successful not sure if my hairdresser will agree. I think my face will remain mostly clean shaven, may have another go during...
