This is the best gadget i have had for ages.

Its about the size of a mascara tube and its black, but wait, its actually sparkly pink glitter and black, i just love that as it sparkles in the light.

Inserting the battery is a bit fiddly, you grab the base and twist off, except the base is about 2mm thick so its not so easy. When inserting the battery insert positive side down and twist the cap back on.

Let me tell you why i use it. Nose hair, every woman has it, we dont like to admit it and will get rid of it as soon as we see anything sprouting, however hair removal cream burns in the nose and i was sick of tweezing it out because it made my eyes water, and so tried this and voila hair free in 10 seconds.

I have Poly cystic ovarian syndrome and so have excess hair on my face, however i use a philips ipl on that but for the times i see a stray hair growing between treatments this is going to be very useful.

The Satin compact is a nice, effective and discreet little hair trimmer. It is around the size of a luxury mascara and with its glossy and slightly glittery case looks like one too, so avoiding any unwanted conversations about why you have a hair trimmer in your make up bag if it is seen.

The trimming part is in the style of a small comb making it ideal for areas such as above/ in between the eye brow or the top lip and it is a very effective little trimmer removing the hair just like an electric razor would.

It runs on a single aaa battery which is included in the pack and simply slides into the bottom of the base. The cutting section at the top pops off the main body for easy of cleaning, which is simply done with the little brush you get in the pack.

This is ideal to keep in a make up bag or a handbag and is very small and discreet- which woman wants to tell the world she has to de-fuzz her top lip?

Obviously it could be used on all other parts of the body but...

This Philips HP6392/00 Satin Compact Precision Body Hair Trimmer comes boxed with an AAA battery and cleaning brush - the packaging clearly suggests it is targeted at the female customer although it could also be used by men. The unit is finished in gloss black with a pinkish chrome trim and a cap is provided to protect the trimmer when not in use. I enlisted my girlfriend's assistance to test this product

Fitting the battery is easy and a simple on/off switch is all you have to contend with. The trimmer is easy to store in a handbag (it looks similar to slightly inflated mascara kit) and is ideally suited to minor "running repairs" whilst on the move. In use the trimmer is easy to hold and use. The Satin Compact cuts hair without difficulty and is useful for facial and nasal hairs etc. rather than largish areas, although, it can be used to remove the odd hair from legs etc.
