Each method of epilation has its pros and cons. Electric shaving is a good choice if you want maximum convenience, minimum discomfort and minimum risk of injury. The downside to electric shaving is that you don't stay smooth for long. Incidentally, the instructions advise that this shaver isn't suitable for facial hair.
When I shave, I don't do it in a cocktail frock with my shoes on, like the lady in the promo picture at the top of the page but I find this shaver does a good job, nevertheless. I should add that my body hair is fine and sparse, so it doesn't put up much of a fight these days.
This shaver is quick to charge and it lets you know with an indicator on the front when the charges low. The charge lasts 40 minutes, which is more than enough for my requirements. I love the fact that, with this model, which is cordless, you can use it in the bath (or the shower if you're good at standing on one leg) just like you can with a disposable blade. Electric...

This is by far, the best ladyshave I have used to date, and I have used quite a few different brands and models over the years.
The reasons I rate this one so highly are:
1) the pivoting head - this enables the shaver head to glide over difficult areas such as around the knees and ankles much more easily than any shaver I have ever used before.
2) the 3-pin plug - I've always been irritated by having to charge shavers and also epilators with 2pin plug adapters, WHY WHY WHY?
So I was ridiculously happy to find that this shaver comes with a normal 3-pin plug!!
3) wet or dry - I love the fact that this can also be used in the bath or shower, as I find that I always get a smoother shave in the shower.
So in summary, it shaved my legs brilliantly, a really good close shave, it takes 10 hours to charge fully, but mine arrived with enough charge straight out of the box, to do both legs!

I ordered this product on Monday and it arrived promptly yesterday (Tuesday), so I was delighted with the speed of processing and delivery.
On reading instructions I realised that the shaver required charging for 10 hours to reach full charge capacity, but that it would then only last for 40 minutes or so. Meh! Not brilliant, but I guess it'll do! Left it on to charge overnight last night.
I decided to give my legs a wet shave, using Wilkinson's shaving foam (as foam or gel is recommended in the instructions) so took the shaver into the shower. I thought initially that it was terrible! Not taking away any hair whatsoever! Then I realised I was using it upside down (doh) and that the lovely Philips people had indeed designed the unit to be used in the way it is most comfortable to hold - NOT the ridiculously awkward way I was trying!
