Not good for our autistic son, 11 Sept. 2014
Bought these because I hoped my son, who is autistic, would better be able to deal with a haircut with clippers that are quieter/gentler. If you're considering this item, know that it seems altogether less powerful and less sharp than regular clippers, so cutting hair takes longer - it did for us, anyway, and that was a big problem. The fighting and crying got dragged out so long that we ended up feeling we had to stop, let him recover for a while, go buy 'real' clippers and finish the haircut (swiftly this time, and so, with less furious fighting) the following day. Just something to consider, depending on your own situation.
