Be aware!, 12 Nov. 2014

Be aware! If the device is not under warranty it cannot be fixed! I forgot to charge mine and it went off! I called Philips to repair it and they said it can't be fixed as the batteries went off. I told them it is a device which is charged but they told me, no, you have to charge it every 3 months even it is not being used. If it was under warranty they would replace it. Nowhere in the manual said that. I feel misguided. Be aware what you are buying and check other products too. I will definitely be more suspicious with Phillips from now on.

Product is Dead after 2 years!, 1 Jan. 2015

I had been using this consistently for about 6 months, it does take quite a bit of time to treat all the areas, but nevertheless it did appear to be working.

I then didn't use this for a while, maybe for around 9 months due to personal and work commitments I just didn't have the time to use it.

About a month ago I thought I'd fire it up again and start using it. However it wouldn't power up at all. I thought the battery may have died so I left it plugged in at the wall and tried again, nothing!

I thought maybe the power charger had failed so I tried another 3.5V power charger that had the same connection - still nothing.

So after paying around £350 for this thing, it no longer works and is out of warranty - totally dead in the water now. What a waste of money!

I contacted Philips customer support just to see if there was anything they could do. All I got was an offer of a money off voucher for other Philips products - yes that's a...

I would consider this a lot of money and I was a bit sceptical that it would work so what made me buy it was the strength of good reviews that it got (and deserves). I have it about six months and I felt I should give it a good review so if someone isn't sure about buying this might help them decide.I don't know that it would work on everyone as well as it worked on me, I have very pale skin and dark hair which it seems to be made for. Also it didn't get rid of hair for good but the hair grows much slower and finer so I went from having to shave my legs every day and having irritated skin and waking up to stubble to only shaving once or twice a week and not worrying about getting my legs out even if I hadn't shaved in a few days.
