Before purchasing this Philips Lumea Presige, I would just suggest that you check online and make sure that this is suitable for you. The basic information is that it is not suitable for blond, red or grey hair – if you have dark blond/brown or black hair then you can use it. However, there are also a lot of ‘do not use this if….’ Some of the conditions listed were pretty obvious, but others were not things I might not have necessarily considered (diabetes for example). I would probably suggest going to the company webpage and just making sure that it is safe for you to use and testing it on part of your skin before progressing.
This is suitable for use on the body, face and the bikini area and contains three different attachments for each area. It uses Intense Pulse Light (IPL) and Advanced Fluorescence Technology to help rid you of unwanted hair growth. A caveat: this was supplied to me by Vine, with only 28 days to review. This is something of a handicap, as the product takes more than 28 days to work fully, with only partial effects after 4 weeks. So far, there are signs of effectiveness, but not complete, and there is some risk that projection forward would be misleading. Hence, I'll focus primarily on the ergonomics and convenience, and if things don't continue favourably with further use, I'll be back!
First up, there's a number of restrictions as to who can use this, based on hair colour, skin-type, various other factors. read and digest before dropping lots of money on the product.
Secondly, this is really expensive on the face of it (NPI) but compares, I'm told, favourably to the cost of salon laser treatments, so this needs to be factored into account.
