Try Saving £40 before buying!, 9 Oct. 2014

These cutters are probably fine as they are genuine Phillips. However before you buy, read this :

My Phillips shaver - which is about 4 years old had recently not been giving a good shave. Having checked Amazon the replacement cutters are nearly as much as I paid for the shaver!

I was not willing to spend that much as the on/off switch was sometimes intermittent and it might fail at any time. I decided to try cleaning the cutters and foils. On removing the three foil/cutter assemblies from the head, I discovered a mass of fluff and long hairs between the cutters and foil, plus body grease on the backs of the cutters , the insides of the foils and around the inside of the head. I cleaned these with the brush as best as I could then dumped all parts in a small ultrasonic cleaner with a spot of washing up liquid ( Aldi, around 2-3 years ago - it cost about £12). I am sure you could do just as well with hot water, washing up liquid and the cleaning brush - it...

Does what it says it does, but found that this set, had extra locating spurs on the heads which made the fit far more secure than the original ones.. Razor was only two months old but on dropping it damaged the faces of the heads, so all three replaced, but what was surprising was the cost, considering that the whole razor cost less than £40, and a set of heads cost £25.. However, lesson learnt, don't drop the razor...
