Lightweight and flexible - lovely shave., 11 July 2015

I've been using electric shavers for about 35 years now, with only the odd foray into wet shaving when on holidays etc. As a result I've tried foils and Philishaves, and I have to say I am always happiest with a Philips.

So far I've had the chunkier mid range units. It was a real surprise to find how incredibly light this one is by comparison. It doesn't feel like they've compromised on build quality, although the advertised battery life seems a little less than my other one.

Where I really noticed the difference is in the extent of movement around my face. The trio of blades are set in a head which flexes so easily that it hugs the contours of my face and I haven't experienced any of the little nicks in my skin which I have with the other shaver.

The bit behind the heads which catches the stubble as it is cut off is a bit shallower, but there is a light on the front of the shaver - a tap shape - which reminds you to rinse the shaver head after each...

Gives a close shave, is fast to charge and very comfortable to use. - I love it., 11 July 2015

A few years ago I abandoned my Philishave and moved to the world of wet shaving as I got a far better and closer shave.

However I have always been drawn to the economy (have you seen the price of those clip on razor blades for shavers) of an electric shaver I decided that this was the time to dip my toes back in the water.

I have to say a prefer using this dry as it seems to labour when my face is wet.

I remember the old heads used to get hot, but not any more, just a pleasant comfortable shave, and even after my first attempt no shaving rash.

I love this as a dry shaver.

It is not quite so good wet (in my humble opinion) hence the loss of one star

The trimmer is very good, simply remove the shave head and replace with the trimmer.

This is very effective.

So, all in all, this is a great shaver.

It is quick to charge

Gives a very close shave

Is kind to your skin and with me at least...

There is no plastic cap so it has to be stored in the semi-hard case supplied. The beard trimmer is a separate attachment and if you want to use it you have to clip off the shaver head first. That is a slight niggle when I am used to that functionality being a flip up integral part of my older philishave.
