Acne is a very distressing condition but this absorbent thick clay mask offers a bit of a mixed bag in terms of its treatment. This lists 6% sulfur as its active ingredient, and although sulfur is used as a disinfectant for acne-prone skin, its side effects are pronounced. Sulfur is an antibacterial agent but it can also cause extreme dryness and be a potent skin irritant, it also has a high pH, which can encourage the growth of bacteria on the skin, so may, in fact, have more negatives than positives in the treatment of acne. In addition, this has a granular texture which feels too abrasive on the skin, something you don't want when dealing with a fragile skin struggling with redness and blemishes. It comes in a hygienic tube, making it easy to use.

Better options for acne prone skins are products based around beta hydroxy acid (salicylic acid), this ingredient addresses many of the systemic causes of acne and has exfoliating, anti-irritant, anti-microbial and...

Nice tight pores, 13 July 2016

I got this as part of the kit, I have used it about 4 times now and so far so good. I use it along with the other products and the face brush and my skin is a lot smoother and it really dried out my acne, I still have some redness and marks but the active acne is really responding well. I did read other reviews that reported irritated skin and burning and dryness but I personally haven't had that at the moment and my skin is very sensitive.I will buy this product again
