  • Do I need to use skin care products with my Derma Roller? Each treatment will encourage the body to produce a natural collagen boost and so creams are not mandatory for the treatment, however as the roller creates thousands of microchannels in the skin your skin care products will penetrate deeper into the dermis and be more effective if applied following Derma Roller treatment. We would recommend collagen and hydraulic acid serums for their added natural healing and anti ageing properties.
  • When will I see results? Results vary from person to person. Generally it can take up to 6 weeks for visible signs of repair and regeneration to form however this can be earlier or later depending on your bodes natural regeneration. After each procedure the body will naturally start to repair the skin starting below the surface at the dermis. This takes time as new collagen is formed and the blood supply is enhanced. This process will continue with use and improvements will be seen over time.
  • How does the derma roller work? Derma Rollers work by tricking the skin into activating its own normal healing process. As you roll the Derma Roller backwards and forwards the microneedles create thousands of tiny skin pricks. The body perceives a trauma and the natural healing process is triggered. New collagen and elastin is created. With repeated use, the skin becomes thicker and any damage starts to repair. Derma Rollers can also increase the penetration of skin care products. The microchannels created by the rolling the derma roller allow active ingredients to penetrate to deeper skin layers, effectively boosting the power of your skin care products.
  • Which size roller should I use? The needle size you choose should be based on the condition that you are treating as well as the area on the face or body that you will be treating. Skin on the face is much thinner than skin on the thigh, stomach and buttocks, so for the face you would require a smaller needle length than these tougher areas. Men generally have slightly thicker skin than women so may choose to use a slightly longer needle length for the same area and condition. Skin sensitivity should also be considered, if you are new to derma rolling or have more sensitive skin, you may wish to start with a smaller needle length. As well as these factors, you should consider the skin condition, for example if you have a very deep wrinkle, you may wish to use a longer needle than you would choose for light wrinkles or light stretch marks.   • How do I look after my Derma Roller? As your Derma Roller is skin care tool, you should take good care of it, not only for hygiene reasons but also to ensure that it lasts you well. You should clean your roller with medical alcohol before and after each use and always store it in its protective case when not in use. Do not leave your roller on hard surfaces which may blunt the sensitive needles. If well looked after your Derma Roller can see you through 3 months of regular use. You should change your roller when the needles start to become blunt.

Needle Size Guide
0.20mm: Enhanced penetration for skin care products
0.50mm: Facial use, ageing, light wrinkles, pigmentation, light scarring
1.00mm: Deep facial wrinkles, hair loss, light stretch marks
1.50mm: Bodily scars, stretch marks, light cellulite
2.00mm: Thick skin areas only, heavy cellulite, heavy bodily scars

Directions for Use
1. Wash hands and treatment area thoroughly.
2. Use medical alcohol to disinfect the derma roller and area of skin to be treated.
3. Apply chosen skin care product lightly if required.
4. Roll the derma roller over the treatment area 10 times in each direction as per the diagram.
5. At the end of each roll, lift the roller so that more micro channels are created.
6. Apply skin care product generously if required and leave to allow absorption into the skin.
7. Clean roller with alcohol and store in case until next use.
