Works wonderfully well with other Proraso products, 17 Dec. 2012

On its own it's a great shave soap/cream giving a close smooth shave after lathering with little effort (I lather in a separate bowl). The menthol/eucalyptus combination gives a wonderful cooling/warming sensation which may not be to everyone's taste, but is especially pleasant in warmer weather.

The texture is somewhere between a shave cream and a hard soap and for me the end result of lathering is likewise inbetween; creamier and thicker than a soap but slicker than most creams. After a good shave you want good skincare and Proraso delivers here as well.

Finally the plastic bowl, while probably not that great for lathering closes tightly and is useful for traveling.

For me though the soap really came into its own when combined with the Proraso Pre and Post Shave Cream 100ml and the Proraso after shave lotion. The products all work amazingly together to give a close, comfortable shave with the skin calming of the menthol and eucalyptus...

Recently switched to a Safety Razer, 14 Aug. 2013

I've recently switched to a Safety Razer and started to use this shaving soap i wont be switching any time soon. don't smell at all chemically, got a nice lil tingle to it witch is not at all painful, its very very refreshing. easy to apply just wet your shaving brush in hot water give it a lil 5 second spin round the soap and brush on the face :D this stuff seems to last for ages hardly made a dent in it shaving every day.No more shaving rash, no more shaving only 2/3 times a week, no more looking and feeling like a grizzly bear, just a nice fresh sexy baby face.
